I created the design for Espíritu de Guatemala to celebrate my Guatemalan heritage. The sandblasting was completed in collaboration with master sandblaster Angelo Adamo, whom I have worked alongside for more than 27 years.

The work reflects my commitment to preserving the specialized techniques I have learned while continuing to experiment with glass and develop new approaches in my own artistic practice.
 

A digital presentation of the artwork was shown on the large screens at Sankofa Square, Toronto, during the Latin Parade & Hispanic Fiesta on September 26, 2026, hosted by the Hispanic Canadian Heritage Council.
